Etant données les nouvelles contraintes sanitaires qui doivent limiter les interactions et les buffets collectifs, nous avons malheureusement décidé de reporter la Journée « Accès interactif à l’information (AFIA-THL / ARIA / GDR TAL) » à une date ultérieure.
 
La thématique de cette journée a suscité un grand intérêt avec de nombreuses et diverses soumissions, un riche programme et beaucoup d’inscriptions. Nous souhaitons maintenir une telle journée sous forme présentielle qui favorise les échanges et la convivialité. Nous espérons que la situation s’améliorera rapidement pour réaliser cette journée d’étude dans les meilleures conditions.

The GDR-TAL (Groupement de recherche en Traitement Automatique de la Langue) and the associations:  AFIA (Association française pour l'intelligence artificielle), through its college Technologies du Langage Humain (TLH) and ARIA (Association de Recherche d'Information et Applications) are organising a joint day on the theme of "Interactive Access to Information" the 9th December 2021 in Paris.

The objective of this day is to bring together researchers in Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing and Information Retrieval working on the interactive aspects of information access. This day will be an opportunity to compare experiences in interactive research in different application areas, both on the advanced research side and on the industrial application side.

The day will consist of two invited presentations, sessions with short presentations followed by posters and demonstrations to stimulate discussion, and will end with a round table discussion.

We invite papers on all topics of interactive information access, including, but not limited to

• Conversational agents (e.g. chatbots, embodiment/avatars, dialogue generation);
• Annotation and corpus construction;
• Active learning ;
• Reinforcement learning;
• Resource construction (especially French or multilingual);
• Evaluation of interactive systems;
• Explicability (e.g. of the choice of information proposed by a chatbot, transparency of systems);
• Influence of resource quality, bias, fairness/impartiality;
• Multimodal interaction;
• Human-machine-robot interface;
• User modelling;
• Personalisation (persona and user side);
• Immersive information retrieval;
• Automatic interactive summarisation;
• Relevance feedback;
• Question and answer system;

Proposals for oral presentations are expected in early November 2021 in the form of an abstract of approximately one page in text format including a title, a list of authors, a list of keywords and a summary of the content of the proposed presentation.

This day is co-organised by Benjamin Piwowarski, Florian Boudin, Gaël Dias, Jean-Pierre Chevallet, José G. Moreno, Mathieu Roche, and Thierry Charnois.
